Four crafts we return to each season, always bought from the same workshops, never from a mill facsimile.

Chanderi

Silk-cotton warps beamed by family looms above the Betwa. Light enough for summer, dense enough to hold a zari edge.

Hand-carved teak blocks, dabu mud resist and mineral dyes. No two lengths register identically — that is the print, not a defect.

White-on-white stitches from Lucknow, worked on the reverse so the face reads as a shadow. We specify stitch density, not machine fill.

Tied dots on Gaji silk, opened after the dye bath. Rani and gold are our house colours for festive drapes.
